The adventurers made a bonfire and destroyed the bodies of all the drow and undead that they had fought, save for the cleric. They wanted Clicker to cast speak with dead and ask her some questions, but he wasn't in the mood. The rest of the evening passed uneventfully.

At dawn, once all the spellcasters had renewed their spells, Helena cast chain of eyes on Rohit and he lead the way back into the Dodrien Crypts. When he reached the cavern where they had fought the animated statue, he could hear the sound of breathing. Sneaking into the next cavern, he saw a stalagmite 9ft high, which appeared to be alive. He signalled to Helena that she should bring the mobile stronghold, then he got into position along with Garyn and Martok. Garyn identified the creature as a Roper: a large magical beast.
Rohit threw an eggshell grenade, blinding the creature, and Garyn fired three arrows. It reacted quickly, however, snaring Rohit with a sticky strand and Garyn with two. Martok retreated to what he hoped was a safe distance and fired his vitriolic blast, but missed completely. Garyn felt his strength being drained by the tentacles that entangled him. Just in the nick of time, the stronghold tunneled in through the wall and Elsa charged the creature. Garyn and Rohit finished it off.

While Garyn was inside the stronghold, using the healing platform, Martok noticed a moderate magical aura emanating from a section of cavern wall, 10ft wide. Rohit searched it for traps, discovering that it was an illusion. Together, they stuck their heads through, seeing a trio of huge, spiderlike creatures. The bebeliths were ready for them, casting webs and entangling Martok. Rohit activated his blast globes and tumbled away down the tunnel, while Martok used his baleful utterance to free himself. One of the bebeliths bit him, damaging his constitution and leaving him low on hit points.
Bolias drove the stronghold into the bebelith lair and Elsa stepped out, attacking one of the demons with her qullan greatsword. Rohit tumbled back into the cavern and unleashed his blast globes, while Clicker cast flame strike. Lukwind used his bardic music to inspire courage. The bebeliths attacked the stronghold, but were unable to dent the reinforced masonry. One of them grabbed Elsa in its claws and attempted to pry her armor open, but the full plate held against the assault.  Martok flew back into the cavern and killed one of the bebiliths with his vitriolic chain. The other two followed shortly after.

Garyn was unable to get a clear shot, since the stronghold was in the way. Annoyed by what he perceived as an unnecessary side trek, he decided to continue down the main corridor, following the tracks of the drow. He passed by another cavern entrance before the tunnel curved around a corner and opened out into yet another cavern. Eight eyes stared back at him from a hole in the middle of the floor. Although his ring made him invisible to darkvision, this arachnid crawled out of its hole and came towards him. He turned and ran, notifying Rohit via message.
Garyn easily outdistanced his pursuer and rendezvoused with Rohit. He sent dancing lights back down the tunnel, which caused the husk widowmaker to retreat back into its hole. However, the lights were cancelled out by a darkness spell.

Once again, the mobile stronghold tunneled through the wall of the cavern, flooding it with daylight and cancelling the darkness cast by the two drow hiding there. Elsa took a 5ft step and cut down one of the drow in two swift strokes of her blade. Dropping his kusari-gama, Rohit drew his sap and knocked the other drow unconscious, so that they might question him. The undead spider proved a more difficult adversary, but fortunately Clicker had supplied the archers with undead bane arrows. It attempted to retreat down its hole, but Bolias maneuvered the stronghold to cut off its escape. Once it was trapped, the heroes made short work of it.
